April is Autism Awareness Month. To show support to the autism community, Seal Beach Police officers and professional staff will wear a special Autism Awareness patch on their uniforms during the month of April. The patches are available for sale to the public for $10 each at the Seal Beach Police Department Lobby, 911 Seal Beach Blvd., Seal Beach. Proceeds from the sale of the patches will be donated to an organization within the autism community.

For more information about how the SBPD is supporting autism awareness month, contact Corporal Joe Garcia at 562-799-4100 ext. 1649.

This is the second year that SBPD officers and others will be wearing the Autism Awareness patch. See the story below for more information about the patch.
