Saturday, December 1

Arrest—Seal Beach Boulevard and Adolfo Lopez Drive—Seal Beach Police officers arrested James Alan Odaniell on suspicion of possession of illegal drug paraphernalia.

Sunday, December 2

Arrest—Seal Beach Boulevard and Golden Rain Road—Seal Beach Police arrested Mario Fernandez on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Monday, December 3

Burglary, Residential—Stanford Lane—A residential burglary that did not involve forced entry apparently occurred between 9 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 2, and 7:32 a.m., Dec. 3.

Burglary, Commercial—Main Street—A commercial burglary that did not involve the use of forced entry occurred at a Main Street business between 1:48 and 8:15 a.m., Monday, Dec. 3.

Vandalism—Hazelnut Avenue—An act of misdemeanor vandalism apparently occurred at the location between 6 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 2, and 12:17 p.m., Monday, Dec. 3.

Petty Theft From a Building—Island View Drive—An individual reported the petty theft of property from a building between 12:47 p.m., Nov. 16, and 12:47 p.m., Nov. 17. The theft was reported on Dec. 3.

Tuesday, December 4

Hit and Run with Property Damage—Lampson Avenue and Tulip Street—A hit and run traffic collision with property damage apparently occurred at 3:06 p.m., on Oct. 6. The incident was reported on Dec. 4.

Petty Theft—Seal Beach Boulevard—Someone stole property by apparently picking an elderly woman’s pocket between 3:40 p.m., and 5:16 p.m.

Wednesday, December 5

Robbery—Pacific Coast Highway—Police received a report of a strong-arm robbery at 8 a.m.

Assault—Westminster Avenue—A 21-year-old woman reported being assaulted between 9 a.m., and 9:01 a.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 5.

Fraud—Catalina Avenue—An elderly woman reported an attempt to obtain money from her by false pretenses between 12 p.m., Nov. 30, and 11:33 a.m., Dec. 5. Reported on Dec. 5.

Arrest—Pacific Coast Highway—Police arrested Rebecca Caroline Hallock on suspicion of strong-arm robbery.

THursday, December 6

Arrest—Elder Avenue—Seal Beach Police arrested Todd Jeffrey Melanson on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Friday, December 7

Car Burglary—Seal Beach Boulevard—A car burglary was apparently reported around 12:57 p.m.

Car Burglary—Old Ranch Parkway—A car burglary was apparently reported on Old Ranch Parkway around 9:36 p.m.

Saturday, December 9

Burglary, Commercial—Seal Beach Boulevard—A business on Seal Beach Boulevard was apparently reported burglarized around 1:22 p.m., Dec. 9. The burglary apparently did not involve forced entry.

Tuesday, December 11

Grand Theft—Seal Beach Boulevard—A 70-year-old man reported the grand theft of car parts around 4:36 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 11. Grand theft is defined as the taking of cash or property worth $950 or more.

Petty Theft from a Car—El Dorado Drive—Someone took property worth less than $950 from an elderly man’s car between 4 a.m., and 1:07 p.m., Dec. 11.

Wednesday, December 12

Burglary, Commercial—Seal Beach Boulevard—A business was apparently burglarized between 2 p.m., July 21, and 10:04 a.m., Dec. 12. The burglary apparently did not involve forced entry.

Arrest—405 Freeway and Seal Beach Boulevard—Seal Beach Police arrested Christopher Andrew Mortensen on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
