This crane, pictured above before sunset,was piling driving as part of the on-going pier improvement project on Monday, Dec. 17. People ran down the pier, phones in hands, to take photos of the crane in operation. People stood on the sand berm to watch. The photo was taken by Assistant City Manager Patrick Gallegos.
