IN SEAL BEACH

Friday, March 1

Hazard (Priority 3)—3:02 p.m.—Seal Beach Boulevard—An anonymous caller said a woman was stepping in the roadway to collect money. The woman had her child in a stroller.

The caller was concerned because the woman was making traffic stop. Police unit 106 advised/warned/counseled the woman against going into traffic to collect money. Incident response time: 9 minutes 54 seconds.

Found Property (Priority 4)—4:28 p.m.—Seal Beach Boulevard—The caller reported that someone left a green backpack at the front door of Seal Beach Police Headquarters. Police unit 107 took a report. Incident response time: 37 seconds.

Noise Complaint (Priority 3)—7:53 p.m.—Fifth Street (Old Town)—The caller said the neighbor’s surround sound TV was loud. The caller said this was an on-going issue. Police unit 241 responded, but heard no noise from outside the location.

Police contacted the resident and advised the resident of the caller’s noise complaint. Incident response time: 1 hour 23 minutes 21 seconds.

Petty Theft (Priority 2)—9:30 p.m.—Seal Beach Boulevard—The caller reported the apparent theft of vitamins. The value of the stolen vitamins was blacked out in the log.

The caller approahed the suspect, a man, who the caller said became aggressive.

Police units S20 and 241 were unable to locate the suspect. Unit 241 took a report. Incident response time: 6 minutes 54 seconds.
