Graffiti removal is year-round project for Seal Beach Lions Club

Removing graffiti from rocks in the riverbed, requires a special project that occurs once a year. Most graffiti removal is done as needed.

For nearly 10 years, the Seal Beach Lions Club has been cleaning up graffiti in and around Seal Beach. The preferred method is removal but sometimes the job requires a cover up with matching paints. A group of Lions carry supplies in their cars and take action once graffiti is seen in both public and private locations.

“The bulk of clean up tends to be along PCH, near the pier and in alleys”, said Lions Graffiti Chair Ray Longoria. “If you let us know where it is, we usually can have it removed the same day.”

This is a year-round project that includes a big riverbed rocks clean up once a year. To report graffiti or to get more information about the Lions club, call Longoria at 562 370-7836 or email him at ray90740@gmail.com. The Lions are currently holding a membership drive during February and March.
