Friday, July 3, was the grand opening of the Shipyard Room exhibition of the 600-pound LEGO Queen Mary replica. Pictured is Commodore Everette Hoard of the Queen Mary along with the sculpture, which will remain on the Queen Mary in Long Beach permanently. It was commissioned by the City of Long Beach and built by UK company Bright Bricks. It consists of building blocks available on the market and was built by a team of life-long LEGO lads with nothing more than observation, skill and years of experience.
