The 17th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks was recognized at McGaugh Elementary. Wearing their patriotic colors, students recited poems and essays on the impact this historic day has had on America. School District Board Members and Superintendent Dr. Sherry Kropp looked on with pride as New York retired firefighter, Bobby Senn, recognized three McGaugh Sea Lions who celebrated birthdays on September 11, 2018. Micha, Julianna, and Ali stood tall as Mr. Senn told them that they were the key to our future. “We must not forget this day,” he said, “and we must not forget to celebrate the freedoms we have as Americans.” Photo by Amber Bradshaw
