The Seal Beach Police Department held a Swearing In and Promotion Ceremony on Wednesday, Sept. 4, recognizing new officers and recently promoted current sworn and community service officers.

• Officer Jorge Muniz – Detective Bureau

• Officer Nick Lacarra-Baker – Motor Officer

• Officer Victor Ruiz – Community Oriented Policing Team, Homeless Liaison Officer

• Officer Ben Jaipream – Field Training Officer, Explorer Advisor

• Currently attends Cal State Long Beach pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice

• Plans t• pursue a career as Police Officer

Jarrett Boice – Police Aide (Parking)

• Started working for Parking and Traffic services in June of this year

• Was part of our Explorer program as an Explorer Captain

• Sophomore at Cal State University Long Beach working on his degree in Business Administration

• Als• works on campus as a Campus Expert with GitHub Inc.

• Plans t• pursue a career in law enforcement

Davis Barr – Police Aide (Parking)

• Started working for Parking and Traffic services in June of this year

• Graduated from University of Alabama with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice

• He had lots of prior experience with Seal Beach as his father is Sergeant with the Department

• In his free time he als• coaches high school baseball and football

Kailey Delara – Police Aide (Parking)

• Started working for Parking and Traffic services last November

• Als• works at Downtown Disney

• Studied Criminal Justice at Golden West College and obtained her POST Public Safety Dispatcher certificate

• Hopes t• soon be working as Dispatcher

Jonathan Bengc• – Senior Community Services Officer (Parking)

• Started working for Parking and Traffic in April 2018

Kendra Owen – Police Officer

• Started working for us in June

• Graduate of Cal State Fullerton with Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services
