Sandy Sova wins Boy Scouts award

Sandy Sova, who works at Los Alamitos High School, was recently honored with the Silver Beaver Award. The award is one of the most prestigious given by the Boy Scouts of America. It is presented by the National Boy Scouts and is the highest award that a local council can bestow on a volunteer for rendering outstanding service to Scout Youth. The Silver Beaver Award is given to honor noteworthy individuals of exceptional character for their service not only to the Boy Scouts of America but also to all youth through their involvement in community activities such as civic, business, professional, religious, etc.
