The Seal Beach City Council honored World War II veteran and Leisure World centenarian Alfred Arrieta (the gentleman pictured above wearing a baseball cap) the day before his 100th birthday, which was Tuesday, May 23. Arrieta served in the Army Air Corps “I was proud to serve my country,” he said. He told the council he was not expecting the honored. Seen to Arrieta’s left are District Once Councilman Joe Kalmick, District Four Councilwoman Schelly Sustarsic, and District Two Councilman/Mayor Tom Moore.
