Police arrest local man on suspicion of child annoyance

On Wednesday, May 3, Seal Beach Police officers arrested William Crunk, 52, of Seal Beach, on suspicion of child annoyance. In California, child annoyance is defined as behavior that is motivated by an unnatural interest in children.

Crunk was seen on the campus of McGaugh Elementary school speaking with two students.  The incident was reported to Seal Beach Police and a search for the suspect was launched.  Crunk was located and positively identified as the suspect. He was arrested and booked into Orange County jail.  According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department website, he was steel in custody as of Friday morning, May 5.
