Long Beach Police Foundation names new executive director

Kathy Berry, native Long Beach resident and public relations veteran, was recently selected to serve as the executive director of the Long Beach Police Foundation.  This position is part-time which will allow Berry, the owner of KBE/public relations, to continue to work with other clients.

The executive director is responsible for providing administrative support to foundation board members and committees, working closely with the Long Beach Police Department board liaison, and developing funding, events, community visibility and consistency in the foundation’s day-to-day operations and future growth.

“The LBPF is very important to me and I am anxious to see it move to a higher level and am excited about being part of that growth,” said Berry.

Assisting Berry with public relations, event coordination and fund development will be Gretchen Houser, owner of Houser PR in Long Beach.  Houser is also a member of the LBPF board of directors and has been in the public relations industry for over 24 years.
