A local AYSO Los Alamitos girls U9 EXTRA team capped off an undefeated season as Champion’s Cup winners. The win will take them to the Western State Championships on March 16 and 17 in Lake Forest, CA.
The team earned the number 1 seed due to their 70 record in the regular season. The road to the final game wasn’t easy with games ending in a 1 goal difference. But in the end a hardfought game was won against South Huntington Beach with a 20 victory.
The girls U9 team will represent section 11 in March, section 11 covers 8 areas with 64 regions. The AYSO Extra program offers soccer at a more competitive level. Congratulations and good luck at Western States! AYSO Region 159 serves Los Alamitos, Seal Beach and Rossmoor areas.
