Seal Beach artist and author Kate Pedigo has been described as the “Grandma Moses of West Orange County. Pedigo will turn 100 years old on Aug. 2 of this year.
The Seal Beach Historical Society will hold a public celebration for her with cake and refreshments at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 29, at the Senior Center in the Mary Wilson Library, 707 Electric Ave., Seal Beach (off Main Street).
Pedigo will be the society’s guest speaker and have her art and books on display. Please RSVP by May 23 by calling (562) 430-1450.
