Griffins go 4-2 at Millikan Tournament

The Los Alamitos High boys volleyball team is off to a 9-6 start this season and are coming off a third-place finish at the Long Beach Millikan Tournament over the weekend. The Griffins went 2-1 in pool play with sweeps over Canyon High and Lakewood, before falling to St. John Bosco, 2-1.

The Griffins opened bracket play with a 2-0 sweep of Bellflower High, but got knocked out of the championship bracket with a 2-0 loss to Long Beach Wilson. The Griffins finished strong with wins over Otay Ranch (2-0) and host Millikan (2-1).

The Griffins will be home to Fountain Valley today at 5:30 p.m. and then away at Marina High on Wednesday at 6 p.m. After that Los Alamitos opens Sunset Surf League at home against Huntington Beach on March 17, at 5:30 p.m. The Griffins won the Sunset Wave League last year with a 6-2 league record.
