City receives draft of state conditions for Bay City project

Seal Beach received a draft of the state conditions for developing the Bay City Partners property late last week, according to Jim Basham, Seal Beach Community Development director.

The details of the conditions are not yet known.

Basham said staff was reviewing the conditions and would follow up with California Coastal Commission staff.

Basham declined a Sun request for a copy of the draft, saying it was a draft and that the conditions in the document were subject to change.

Ed Selich, project manager for the development, said, “We are in discussion on the draft.”

The state commission approved the project in March, but the agency will have to approve the conditions at a future meeting.
