“The United Water Polo Club of Los Alamitos Girls 12 and Under team took the bronze medal in the San Diego County Cup Water Polo Tournament April 30-May 1.
The team won five of their six games and played some of the top teams in southern California. Coach Ryan Poole commented, “Those girls really grew a lot this weekend.
They never let up…even when we were down in games, they battled back. Skyler Pyle really stepped up her play, making the All-Tournament team with clutch shooting in close games, including a huge insurance goal with under a minute to play, putting us up by two to secure the bronze medal.”
