Wednesday, December 1

• Counseling (Priority 3)—10:30 a.m.—Main Street—The reporting person had been involved in an ongoing dispute with another tenant over someone allegedly turning the reporting person’s electrical power off and on. Both parties were attempting to file restraining orders against each other. No evidence was found.

Thursday, December 2

• Transient (Priority 3)—10:37 a.m.—Pacific Coast Highway—The reporting person was concerned about a transient standing alone in the corner facing Balboa. The individual appeared to be in their 60s, wearing blue Adidas sweats, smoking, and was reported being seen “messing around” with rat poison in a Starbucks cup.

• Disturbing Vehicle (Priority 3)—10:45 p.m.—First Street—Individual was reported driving back and forth in a red Sedan, supposedly waiting for a friend, laying on his horn for a full 40 minutes.

• Traffic Hazard (Priority 2)—11:22 a.m.—Saint Andrews Drive and Seal Beach Boulevard—An elderly individual stopped to pick up a skunk in the road, leaving her vehicle blocking lanes of traffic.

• Assist Outside Agency (Priority 3)—11:38 a.m.—Twin Hills Drive—The reporting person called Orange County Fire Authority because they saw smoke that did not appear to be from a barbecue. The source of smoke turned out to be someone burning sage.

• Hail by Citizen (Priority 3)—8:41 a.m.—Ocean Avenue and Sixth Street—The reporting person feared her son locking her out of her house after a verbal fight, was advised to call the police if she needed to retrieve personal items.

Saturday, December 4

• Petty Theft (Priority 2)—5:09 p.m.—Seal Beach Boulevard—The individual, dressed in jeans and a camo jacket, was reported taking a bottle of rose along with a bag full of other items.

• Petty Theft Report (Priority 3)—6:16 p.m.—Seal Beach Boulevard—The reporting person said that her large android phone was taken from her purse the previous night, and that when she called the phone a male answered.

It was later discovered that the reporting person had left her phone on top of her vehicle before driving off, so the petty theft report was cancelled.

Sunday, December 5

• Brandishing a Weapon (Priority 1)—3:34 a.m.—Galleon Way—The reporting person reported three young teenagers in the street, one of which appeared to be armed with a handgun.

The kids were reported running up and down the alley, pointing the weapon at each other and alarming the reporting person, until the “weapon” was identified as an airsoft gun and the entire scenario turned out to be a game.

Monday, December 6

• Counseling (Priority 3)—11:21 a.m.—Central Way—The reporting person believed that she had been verbally assaulted when other members of the women’s club refused to wear masks in her home.

• Family Disturbance (Priority 2)—9:12 p.m.—Seal Beach Boulevard—The reporting person reported a male screaming obscenities at a female (who was wearing a baby Yoda shirt and flip flops) in a parking lot before they both walked into a Target.

When contacted, the male, half drunk, declared that he was upset about Joe Biden and the Democrats.

Tuesday, December 7

• Disturbing Subject (Priority 2)—6:23 a.m.—Main Street and Old Town—Individual reported being a public disturbance, “acting delirious,” wearing ripped pants exposing his buttocks, bothering the waste management guy and refusing to move along.

Friday, December 24

• Arrest on suspicion of battery: spouse/ex spouse/date/etc.—Kendrick Daniel Smith, 26—Eighth Street. (Note: Arrest reports come from the summary log, which provides no details.)

• Arrest on suspicion of obstruct/resist/etc., on public/peace officer/emergency med tech –Alexander Ascencio Schleuter, 32—Seal Beach Boulevard and Bolsa Avenue.

Sunday, December 26

• Arrest on suspicion of unlawful possession of paraphernalia—Shadrach James Hoard, 47—Seal Beach Boulevard.

• Arrest on suspicion of receiving/etc., stolen property of value greater than $950—Steven J. McKnight, 33—Seal Beach Boulevard.

Tuesday, December 28

• Arrest on suspicion of DUI (alcohol) Erick Julian Rocha, 23—10th Street.
