This year, the Los Alamitos Medical Center Auxiliary awarded 11 scholarships totaling $13,000.

The Auxiliary at Los Alamitos Medical Center is a non-profit that serves year round to raise funds for student scholarships.  The scholarships are awarded to local students pursuing an education in a health-related field.  Eligible students attend a local school, are employees of the medical center or are the children of employees.

Fundraisers range from basket raffles to a fashion show.  The main source of funds, however, come from the sales in the volunteer-run hospital gift shop. Located in the main lobby, the gift shop sells an assortment of gifts, flowers, and snacks.  Proceeds directly benefit the scholarship fund.
