The Southeast County Young Marines have been busy in the City of Seal Beach. They recently decorated the trees along Main Street with red ribbons to commemorate Red Ribbon Week. They also performed color guard at the city council meeting on Oct. 28, after which they received a proclamation pledging support from the city. Their next event will be the Veteran’s Day Ceremony in Eisenhower Park on Nov. 11. The Southeast County Young Marines meet aboard NWS Seal Beach. The Young Marines is a national youth program for boys and girls, ages eight through high school, focused on leadership, citizenship through community service, self-discipline, and living a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
