Van strikes two pedestrians in Seal Beach

Two women were struck and seriously injured by a van in Seal Beach Monday evening, Aug. 24. The women suffered serious injuries, but police say those injuries were not life threatening. The accident

Seal Beach Police Sgt. Mike Henderson said the van was traveling westbound on Marina Drive. Henderson said the van came to a stop at the intersection of Marina and Fifth Street. After stopping, the driver continued driving—and struck the two women.

Henderson said it appeared that the setting sun may have been a factor in impairing the driver’s vision.

However, Henderson said the investigation was still on-going.
