Sunset Beach’s newest mural was just completed atop the new Ohana Kitchen at the corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Broadway. It was created by local Artist Rick Blake, an art teacher known for his work at Surfside Seventies, which he helped start 17 years ago, and the Sunset Beach Art Festival.

“I tried to capture the vibe of Sunset Beach in the new mural,” said Blake. “It’s a sunset scene with surf and the water tower to entice friends and family to gather at this new delicious restaurant, run by locals, where they can relax, eat steak and seafood with a Hawaiian tinge and drink tasty beverages. I wanted the mural to be a visual cocktail for the senses.”

“I think the mural at Ohana adds to the funky charm of Sunset Beach,” said Mike Van Voorhis, president of The Sunset Beach Community Association.

The owner’s of Ohana Kitchen, Tiffany Howard (who worked at Harpoon Harry’s), and Nadeen Antoci, love the new mural and invite people to come and see it and visit their restaurant.
