Sixth annual Band on the Sand party set for Wednesday, July 3, 2019

Band on the Sand is back for its 6th year taking place on Wednesday, July 3, from 4 p.m. to dusk. Participants will enjoy a beautiful firework display. Band on the Sand will be held at the beach lot at First Street and Ocean Avenue in Seal Beach.

This event attracts over 5,000 attendees for a family fun filled afternoon with food trucks, live music, an adventure zone with rock climbing, euro bungee and a giant slide.

From 6-7: p.m., you can participate in the hula hoop contest, the pie eating contest and the water balloon toss.

Bring your blankets and chairs or purchase a table of 10 for $225.

The table decorating con- test is back by popular demand. Winner will receive a free table at Band on the Sand 2020. Be creative. Any theme is allowed. Judging will take place at 5 p.m. and announced during the break at 6 p.m.

Purchase a chance to win one of 12 bicycles and some great giveaways from local restaurants and shops.

Opportunity tickets can be purchased for $5 each or six for $20.

This event (one of the largest in Seal Beach) has quickly received Silver and Gold ribbons from the Best of Seal Beach.

Be the Good is a 501c3 non-profit organization who continues giving back to the community and surrounding organizations. BTG regularly prepares meals for the Long Beach Ronald McDonald House next to Miller Children’s Hospital. They also coordinate bingo at the Long Beach Veterans Hospital where the patients can win canteen vouchers that can be used at the hospitals general store for toiletries, clothing, and food. Firework display is from the Boathouse on the Bay. Beneficiaries of Boathouse on the Bay fireworks include Children Today, the ASK Foundation, the Autism Partnership Foundation, Nowel Family Foundation, Captain Rosa Memorial Scholarship, and Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach Auxiliary.
