Seal Beach Yacht Club announces Points Race series for 2011

Seal Beach Yacht Club is initiating a new High Point Series for club-sponsored races for 2011.

There will be 32 races included for scoring with the top 25 races counting for a season High Points Championship.

Points will be awarded based on the number of boats beaten in your class including points against DNF, DSQ and OCS boats.

DNC and DNS boats will not be included in calculating points for each race.

All boats that enter any of the following SLBYC sponsored races will automatically be included in the High Points standings.

Club membership is not required to enter.

“We started the High Points series as a way to provide for a season championship for all Seal Beach YC sponsored races and to hopefully get more boats out for some of lesser attended races,” said Race Chairman Bob Hubbard.

The series includes:

Saturday Sailors Races 1 – 5

All Pop Tops Races (20 total)

Seal Beach to Dana Point

Ocean Series Races 1 – 3

Sunday Sailors Races 1 – 3
