Seal Beach resident Ann Mills just turned 104! The petite Centenarian was a Rosie the Riveter from 1942 to 1945 and was small enough to fit in the nose of planes to get bolts in tight areas and especially remembers the friends she made from that experience. Among her other fond memories is the family business in Paramount where she sewed orthopedic shoes for customers from toddlers to seniors like herself.
Mills is originally from Omaha, Nebraska, and the only remaining family member of seven brothers and sisters. She now lives in Leisure World where she’s enjoyed making friends and participating in a variety of activities since the young age of 83.
Her grandniece, Debbie Scoccia, of Huntington Beach said: “Ann Mills is surrounded by friends and family who treasure her—we are very lucky to have her this long.”
