Seal Beach Police National Night Out set for Aug. 7

The Seal Beach Police Department and Target are teaming up for the annual National Night Out community celebration.

National Night Out is a nationwide, one-night rally, where citizens and law enforcement join forces to strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.

From 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 7, residents from all neighborhoods in Seal Beach are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and your police department.

All Seal Beach residents and businesses are encouraged to celebrate the Seal Beach community spirit and join at the Seal Beach Pier and meet members of your Seal Beach Police Department, Seal Beach Lifeguards, Orange County Fire Authority, California Highway Patrol, and the US Naval Weapons Station, Seal Beach. Police K-9 and SWAT demonstrations are also planned.

Exhibit booths will be on hand showcasing many of our community programs such as Volunteers in Policing (VIPS), Community Emergency Response Team (also known as CERT), Neighbor 4 Neighbor, Seal Beach Police Explorers, Seal Beach Junior Lifeguards, and the Seal Beach Police radKIDS Child Empowerment and Safety Program.  The Seal Beach Police Officers Association will be sponsoring a bounce house for the kids.

National Night Out is for the entire family.
