Run Seal Beach update: Kids Run sells out

It is nearly time for the 40th Ruby Anniversary Run Seal Beach on Saturday, April 5.  It is important that you know when, where and what to do in our community.  Here are a few key tips.

The Kids 1K Fun Run is completely sold out.

For safety, if your child is not registered, we ask you not have them participate.

The Run cannot be responsible for your child’s safety nor provide access to the Fun Zone. The 1K Fun Run begins at 7:30 a.m. from the intersection of First and Marina Drive.

The entire event is nearly sold out. At press time, there are fewer than 700 remaining adult registrations for the 5K walk, the 5K run and the 10K run combined.

Please register now if you have not.  The event will sell out and there is no same day registration.  The adult 5K/10K all begin in the same location, the intersection of First and Marina Drive.

Registration is at the Marina Center – 151 Marina Drive.  Registration pick up is available from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday April 4 3 pm – 8 pm and then on race morning April 5, from 6:30 to 7:45 a.m.  You are strongly encouraged to pick up your race packet on Friday.

During race day, there will be extensive no parking zones which will encompass much of the race route.

This will include all of Ocean from First through 10th Street, most of First Street and a large section of Electric and Main.  Please be alert to these no parking signs as cars will begin to be towed at 3 a.m. on April 5th.

Organizers ask that visitors and guests please be mindful and respectful of the temporary no parking zones, as they will be enforced to preserve the safety of racers.

Free parking is available in the beach lots during race times; however, please avoid parking in business or private lots as those spaces are for patrons only.  Street closure information is below and are approximate.
