Five-year-old Trisha Taylor of Rossmoor recently took home the Little Miss awards in the 28th Miss Philippines-Universe 2013 during the Philippine-American Expo held Sept. 7 and 8 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The Weaver Elementary School student won over the judges by being herself. She loves to sing and dance.
At a very young age she decided to learn about her Filipino heritage and joining the pageant was a first step.
With her crown, sash and trophy, she also took home $200 in cash.
