Captain Jack’s is an iconic, old-school, beach town dinner house, beloved by locals, businesses, families and visitors. Founded by Jack Haley, a local surfing legend, in 1965, the restaurant is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.  Run by Jack’s son Tim and a large family of staff known for their laidback presence, service and professionalism, Captain Jack’s is a blue ribbon dining-out experience.

They are famous for their legendary large cuts of perfectly roasted prime rib, huge Alaskan king crab legs, prime, aged steaks and a boatload of fresh catches, all beautifully prepared and presented.  Fresh baked sourdough and squaw bread, a large, fresh salad and rice come stock.  Their blue cheese dressing is more like mom’s than mom’s.  Desserts are large and Mud Pie is king.

The martinis make it to the table with ice crystals, the wine list is a doozy, the view of the canal romantic and the whole experience full of good vibes. You can still feel the Captain at the helm.  Congratulations Tim, family and staff for keeping the legend and tradition alive.
