Police find ‘person of interest’ in Old Town death

Police have located the man described as a “person of interest” in the death investigation of Old Town Seal Beach resident John Donnelly.

Eric Jesus Andrade was found in Long Beach around 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, according to Seal Beach Police Sgt. Michael Henderson, the Police Department’s public information officer.

John Donnelly, 67, and his dog Eddie, were found dead in their 17th Street home after firefighters put down a blaze during the early morning hours of Saturday, April 30. Police believe the fire was caused by arson. As they wait for the results of Donnelly’s autopsey they are investigating his death as a homicide.
