MoZaiK girls move from talent show to center stage

The girls of MoZaiK include Jazmine Lucero, Jenny Lee and Melissa Diehl.

Move over, Justin Bieber.

Meet MoZaiK, a local singing group of three talented and engaging teen girls who combine their harmonic voices with hip-hop choreography to perform a combination of covers and original music.

The idea for the group originated in 2008 when couple Jon Lucero and Stacy Pyle saw fifth-grader Jenny Lee perform at the Rossmoor School Talent Show. Realizing that her talent level was of star quality, Jon and Stacy sought out additional talent to form a pop group.

The Lucero-Pyle duo held auditions to find more performers to complete their vision of an energetic and passionate pop group to reflect the enthusiasm and morality they saw in their own four girls. After an extensive search, Jazmine Lucero and Melissa Diehl were selected to join the group. Jenny Lee, Jazmine Lucero, and Melissa Diehl are now officially known as MoZaiK.

To date they have performed at The Block at Orange, Six Flags Magic Mountain, the Orange County Fair, and various festivals and are continuing their summer tour through August 2011. Their debut single “Where My Girls At” is being played on radio stations in Australia and featured on Tween Pop Radio.com as well as ReverbNation.com. They are proud to have signed with IE Records and are currently recording their first album. With the mentorship of Jon and Stacy, of Intricate Enterprise, LLC, these dedicated and talented young ladies may be bound for stardom.
