Montana band releases new CD

Eddie Montana and his surf band Eddie and the Sand Sharks have a new CD “Don’t Feed the Sharks” with 10 original tunes and two cover tunes. Montana is the former owner of the Seal Beach Music Store on Main Street that closed last year after many years in business.

The CD cover art pays tribute to Montana’s connection with Seal Beach as the photo by Val MacRae was set up and shot next to the River’s End Restaurant and the San Gabriel River Jetty. Eddie and the Sand Sharks are based out of Huntington Beach, Long Beach and Seal Beach. From their music, one can imagine they know what a wave is all about.

“That’s to ride it and feel the glory of Mother Nature moving you forward in time,” Montana said. “Every thought and lick on this CD came from the Universe of Endless Notes compelling their spirits to create new music for the Surf Guitar Generation. As you listen to the content of this CD you will understand and identify with it on the subliminal wave of the future. Our first CD was a homage to the great classic surf songs of the past,” Montanna said. “With this second CD, we have ventured into new instrumental surf guitar territory. We all contributed to each of our originals to produce the final product. However, there was typically one person who created the original chord arrangement or melody concept to start the collaborative process for each song. This produced a group of widely differentiated instrumental songs.”

Eddie and the Sand Sharks includes Montana, Artists Eddie Montana, Charlie Ewing and Paul Wayne.

”Don’t Feed the Sharks” is available at CDBaby.com for downloads.
