With last week’s victories, Long Beach State (14-4, 6-2 Big West) maintained its share of second place in the Big West standings after starting the week in a 6-team tie for the second-place spot.

It is the fourth weekly conference award picked up this season by Maxwell, who was the Big West Setter of the Week on September 7 and 14 and Big West Defensive Player of the Week on September 28. Maxwell is now a six-time Big West Setter of the Week, and with a pair of Freshman of the Week awards in 2024, she now has nine total Big West weekly awards to her name.

Mahaffey’s award was her first career Big West Player of the Week honor.
