Local runners show well at Run Seal Beach

Los Alamitos runner takes third in 5K

Sammi Seal gets ready to kick off the 1K Kids Fun Run at the 50th Run Seal Beach on Saturday.

There were plenty of local names scattered among the top runners at the 50th Run Seal Beach on Saturday in downtown Seal Beach. In the 10K run, Dreamy Genzel of Colorado Springs was the top finisher, followed by Erick Lovo and Jake Langenwalter, both of Anaheim. Genzel’s top time was 34 minutes and 29 seconds.

In fourth place was Seal Beach resident Kyle Bresnahan, 24, who completed the course in 35:55. He was followed by Robin Yan, 46, of Rossmoor who finished fifth, with a time of 36:13. Kyle Milligan, 43, of Los Alamitos was 12th overall and first in his age division, with a time of 37:52.

Rachel Miura of Laguna Hills was 13th overall and the top female runner. She completed the course in 38:09. Emily Leyba, 29, of Long Beach was the second female finisher and 21st overall, with a time of 40:08.

At 19th and 20th were two Seal Beach runners, Dan Lasker, 35, with a time of 39:55 and Yong Park, 58, also timed at 39:55. Park was the top finisher in his age division. Kyle Marshall, 27, of Seal Beach was 22nd overall with a time of 40:12.

Three more Seal Beach residents came in among the top 40, led by Harrison Zilli, 25, who came in 37th with at time of 41:56. Chris Barnes, 33, was 39th overall with time of 42:02, followed by John Trapani, 44, who finished with a time of 42:04.

Anna Farley, 37, of Los Alamitos finished 46th overall with a time of 42:25. She was the fourth overall female finisher and first in her age division. Seal Beach resident Joseph Richert, 31, finished 49th overall with a time of 42:32 and was followed by La Palma resident Greg Sambrano, 53, who ran a time of 42:43. Rossmoor resident Nathan Searles, 47, was 52nd overall with a time of 42:45.

Kyle Kolb, 33, of Sunset Beach finished 54th overall with a time of 42:55 and Seal Beach resident Nick Musser was 56th overall at 42:59. He was followed by Ran Chu, 41, of Surfside, who took 57th overall with a time of 43:01. Lauren Feldman, 40, of Seal Beach was the ninth female finisher and first in her age division with a time of 44:43.

In the 5K event, Gunther Vaden, 25, of South Pasadena was the overall winner, with a time of 16:51. He was followed by Casey Celestin, 27, of Long Beach, who finished with a time of 17:10. In third was Los Alamitos resident, Landon Evans, 16, who finished in 17:54 and was first in his age division.

Seal Beach resident Cal Mingione, 36, was fifth overall with a time of 18:41 and Kai Lorber, 12, of Rossmoor was seventh overall with a time of 19:05. Both were first in their respective age divisions. William Lieras, 14, of Long Beach was fourth overall at 18:29.

Erin McConkey, 47, of La Jolla was eighth overall and the top female finisher with at time of 19:06. Nicole Bruton, 39, of Long Beach was the second overall female finisher and 11th overall with a time of 19:19

Nicholas Romines, 14, of La Palma was 12th overall and second in his age division, also with a time of 19:19. Two Los Alamitos residents followed, with Tyler Tanimura, 13, coming in at 19:24 and Drew Sells, 53, timing in at 19:27. Rossmoor resident Kent Inanaga, 14, finished 16th overall with a time of 19:41.

Finishing 19th overall was Seal Beach resident Lorenzo Tyner, 59, who timed in at 19:56 and was first in his age division. Dylan Hunter, 14, of Huntington Beach was 20th overall with a time of 19:58. Hunter Maul, 33, of Seal Beach was 25th overall and first in his age division with a time of 20:51.

Nathan Morisky, 20, of Los Alamitos was 35th overall and second in his age division with a time of 21:35. Benjamin Park, 50, also of Los Alamitos was 37th overall and second in his age division with a time of 21:44. Jeannie Robinson, 58, of Seal Beach was 38th overall and first in her age division with a time of 21:46.
