Keller Williams Realty to host shredding event

For the fifth consecutive year, agents at Keller Williams Realty in Los Alamitos will be hosting “Shredding Day” on Saturday, April 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the office parking lot.

The event is a fundraiser for KW Cares and a tax-deductible donation is requested but not mandatory as the event is free.

“We have two big shredding trucks that we have hired, with high-volume industrial shredders, to come do all the grinding for you,” said Christine Frumen, who is spearheading the event.

“It’s a great way to clean up the clutter and do a little spring cleaning at the same time,” said Elaine Armogida, CEO and team leader at KW in Los Alamitos.

“This is a great opportunity for people to shred any of their outdated, confidential materials such as financial and medical records, credit card slips and other excess documents,” Armogida said.

According to Frumen, binder clips and three-ring binders can’t be shredded. “Some of these businesses that charge to shred documents charge $1 a pound,” Frumen said. “So this is a more economical way to do it.” Keller Williams Realty is at 10900 Los Alamitos Boulevard, Suite 160, behind Hof’s Hut.  For more information, call Frumen at (562) 201-0527.
