Joe Stilinovich, a former Seal Beach Police chief, has passed away, according to a Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024 post on the Youth Center Facebook page. According to the post, he raised more than $150,000 for the center. His last post on LinkedIn appeared about three weeks ago concerning his employer, Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling. Seal Beach hired Stilinovich in October 2012. He was placed on leave following a complaint in October 2016. On March 3, 2017 the city government announced Stilinovich’s resignation.
