Did you know that there are many kids right here in our own neighborhood that might not have had breakfast this morning? Sometimes lunch at school is their only hot meal of the day. Junior Girl Scout Troop 770 set out to make a difference and help these kids by collecting dry food items to donate to We Care.
We Care is a family support center right here in Los Alamitos. We Care works to meet the emergency needs of local families. One of the basic needs of every family is food. With the help of their neighbors, friends, family, and students at Weaver Elementary school, these girls collected over 950 items in just two weeks and delivered them to We Care. Thank you to everyone who donated for helping us show our community that “We Care.”
