Food drive set for Feb. 27 at Baytown Realty

The Seal Beach Lions will hold a second and final drive-thru collection event on Saturday, Feb. 27. Non-perishable food items can be dropped off between 9 and 11:30 a.m. at Baytown Realty, located at 321 Main Street in Seal Beach. All state and local COVID-19 health measures will be followed during the food collection.

In addition, collection boxes have been set up at the following locations: Mary Wilson Library at 707 Electric Ave., Finbars Italian Kitchen at 1041 Pacific Coast Hwy and Baytown Realty at 321 Main Street.

The Seal Beach Lions are participating in a statewide California Lions Project Care: Hunger, a service project that is being conducted during the month of February. Last week, on Saturday, Feb. 13,  they collected almost 500 pounds of non-perishable food items.

All of the donated goods were delivered to H.O.P.E., a One-Stop, Safety Net Center located in Garden Grove.  H.O.P.E. provides swift access to critical services and resources to alleviate food insecurity and homelessness throughout Orange County.
