Be a Hero – St. Anne’s Knights Blood Drive

Donors report feeling a great sense of satisfaction after donating because helping those in need just feels food.

When you are a blood donor you’re a hero to someone, somewhere, who received your gracious gift of life. Seal Beach Knights of Columbus, Council 9594, is looking for such heroes come Thursday, March 21, 2024, when they hold a blood drive at St. Anne’s Catholic Church at the parish hall 340 10th Street in Seal Beach from 1 to 7 p.m.

When you give blood you will receive a $10 e-gift card to a pet supply merchant of your choice. That’s right! Treat your pet and save a life. And, you will be entered for a chance to win a $3,000 gift card.

Some of us give blood because we were asked by a friend. Some know that a family member or a friend might need blood someday. Some believe it’s the right thing to do.  Some do it for the free cookies and juice.

The biggest reason to donate blood is that it saves lives. One pint of blood can save as many as three lives. Donations are essential for trauma patients, cancer patients, birthing mothers, people needing surgeries, transplants, and those with blood disorders, including sickle cell disease and hemophilia. All blood donations go to help Orange County residents.

Help St. Anne’s Knights bring blood to those in need, as they continuously build upon your generosity. When you donate blood, you get a mini-physical, as Red Cross volunteers check your blood pressure, body temperature, heart rate, and iron levels.

Schedule your appointment online at RedCrossBlood.org and enter sponsor code STANNE, or call the American Red Cross at 1-800-733-2767. It’s that simple. And you could win a $3,000 gift card.
