Lt. Tom Gallivan, the commander of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department North Patrol, has been promoted. North Patrol provides law enforcement services to the unincorporated communities of Rossmoor and Sunset Beach, among others.
Gallivan will be transferred on Friday, Feb. 19. He will hold the interim captain’s position in North Operations. Gallivan’s successor as commander of North Patrol will be Lt. Bob Wren.
