Identity theft suspect arrested

On Tuesday, March 8, the Seal Beach Police Department arrested a man identifying himself as Arian Adam from the Netherlands on suspicion of using counterfeit access cards, and other related charges.

At 1:34 p.m. Seal Beach Police officers went to Pavilions supermarket on Pacific Coast Highway in response to a report of a a suspicious individual.  Upon arrival, officers found the man inside the store using the US Bank ATM machine.  The man was seen making several transactions using different access cards.  Officers approached the man as he was leaving the store and he fled.  He was apprehended after a foot pursuit into the neighboring residential area.  The suspect was found to be in possession of more than 40 access cards and  more than $2,000 dollars in cash.

Adam was booked at the Seal Beach Detention Center on suspicion of multiple charges.  He provided a possible home address in Long Beach, but he has not been positively identified.  Seal Beach Police Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying possible additional victim’s.
