SUMMARY:Raptor Ramble
DESCRIPTION:A nature hike of the Hellman Ranch Wetlands takes place on Saturday\, June 4\, from 8 to 10 a.m. This is a great opportunity to spot raptors such as ospreys and hawks. An added bonus is the focus on how Native Americans lived in and used the wetlands. Meet on the inland side of the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and 1st Street\, at the border of Long Beach and Seal Beach. This walk is appropriate for ages 7 and up. Closed toes shoes are required. \,To RSVP\, contact Elizabeth at elizabeth@lcwlandtrust.org. Learn more about the wetlands at www.lcwlandtrust.org.

SUMMARY:Senior Parade
DESCRIPTION:The Rossmoor Homeowners Association is revving up the engines and getting ready for this year’s upcoming Senior Parade through Rossmoor. On Saturday between 10 a.m. and noon the area graduates will be touring Rossmoor as part of our Rossmoor Graduation Celebration Parade. The community is invited to join in cheering the graduates on and into their futures. Grab a spot along the route – the schools and parks have the most space – and join your neighbors as the parade rolls on by. \nWhat began as a necessity during the depths of the pandemic is quickly becoming a celebrated community event and the 2022 parade is no exception. “It’s going to be super fun\,” said RHA member Jo Shade. \nShade said the Los Alamitos High School award-winning drumline has agreed to be part of the parade this year. “It’s going to be so exciting\,” she said. \nFor more information\, visit ourrossmoor.com.

SUMMARY:Seal Beach Police to host Coffee with a Cop
DESCRIPTION:District Two Councilman Thomas Moore and the Seal Beach Police Department will hold a  Coffee with a Cop event on Wednesday\, June 8\, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The event will be hosted at Peet’s Coffee\, at 12203 Seal Beach Blvd.\, in the Shops at Rossmoor (in Seal Beach). \nOften the community’s only interaction with the police is during a time of emergency or other crisis. During these events\, the community is often left with questions about police practices and procedures. Coffee with a Cop events are designed to provide an opportunity for the community to ask questions\, voice concerns\, and get to know their Police Department. The relaxed nature of this event is intended to allow the Police Department to get to know the community\, and for community members to get to know the officers who serve Seal Beach. \nThe event is informal with no speeches\, presentations or agendas. The goal is to strengthen the relationship between the city of Seal Beach\, Police Department\, and the community. For more information\, contact Lieutenant Nick Nicholas at nnicholas@sealbeachca.gov or (562) 799-4100 ext. 1160.ice
