DESCRIPTION:Seal Beach City Councilwoman Sandra Massa-Lavitt (who has termed out) is inviting the community to meet with her and the Seal Beach Police Department at a Coffee with a Cop event. \nThe event will take place on Monday\, Nov. 7\, 2022\, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. \nOften the community’s only interaction with the police is during a time of emergency or other crisis. \nDuring these events\, the community is often left with questions about police practices and procedures. Coffee with a Cop events are designed to provide an opportunity for the community to ask questions\, voice concerns\, and get to know their Police Department. \nThe relaxed nature of this event is intended to allow the Police Department to get to know the community\, and for community members to get to know the officers who serve Seal Beach. \nThe event is informal with no speeches\, presentations or agendas. SUMMARY:Seal Beach Christmas Parade
DESCRIPTION:The 44th annual Seal Beach Christmas Parade will usher in the holidays on Friday\, Dec. 2. The three block long “continuous motion and entertainment parade” will launch from the Pier at 7 p.m. and travel down Main Street to Pacific Coast Highway. This year’s theme is “Christmas Under the Sea.” More than 85 returning entries are already registered and they are looking for another 15 to complete the parade. SUMMARY:Return of Laughlin Trip
DESCRIPTION:The Woman’s Club of Seal Beach announced the return of their annual bus trip to Laughlin\, Nevada on April 24 – 26\, 2023. This fundraising event is one of many the club sponsors during the year to support local organizations\, student and civic activities. The fun-filled adventure includes the charter bus to and from Laughlin\, two nights at the Edgewater Hotel and two free meals at the hotel. ($150 single and $120 per person double occupancy). The bus leaves from the Seal Beach Community Center at 151 Marina Dr. at 8 a.m. April 24 and returns about 5 p.m. April 26. Parking passes are available for those wishing to leave their cars at the center. \nRegistration information is available by calling Marilyn at 562-434-7113.
