Youth baseball leagues finish their playoffs

Local youth baseball leagues, including those in Seal Beach and at St. Hedwig, as well as Los Alamitos Youth Baseball, concluded the playoffs this past weekend (Saturday, June 8, and Sunday, June 9) with championship games.

Selected players from these leagues will continue with all-star tournament play and both St. Hedwig and LAYB will host tournaments this week.

District tournaments, the first of the all-star season, will begin in early July. LAYB will also host the PONY World Series for the Bronco age division (age 11-12) from Aug. 1-4. A handful of teams won championships from each of the different leagues.In the St. Hedwig league, the following teams won the regular season and playoffs in the following divisions:
