Coach John Gonsalves, long time resident of Seal Beach and former California State University Long Beach head baseball coach for 20 years is putting on 2 baseball academies for the summer season to instruct youth on the basic fundamentals and techniques of baseball. They will learn baseball etiquette/dress code, practice stretching and warm-up principles, learn throwing, receiving, and hitting, base running and sliding, and position plays.

The Academy is held Monday through Friday, August 9th – August 13th 8:30 am – 12:30 pm for ages 12 – 16 years. Each academy session will be held at Zoeter Softball Field, 12th Street and Landing and costs $200. Visit www.ci.seal-beach.ca.us.
