Scott Newton, in a surprise announcement at the Annual Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce Inauguration Dinner on Sept. 13 stated that this year’s grand marshal for the Christmas Parade will be Seth Eaker, of Black Marble Consulting. Parade Chairman Newton said when addressing the crowd:
“As a past president of the Chamber of Commerce, the 2012 businessman of the year, an active Lions Club member, a current director of the Run Seal Beach organization and overall community activist, Seth is a shining example of the level of constant community engagement that is representative of the best of Seal Beach in our Christmas Parade in all three areas: business, non-profit and community advocacy.”
This year’s Christmas Parade will once again be produced by the Seal Beach Lions and the Chamber of Commerce on Friday, Dec. 7. Going just three blocks from Ocean to Pacific Coast Highway, the event usually draws thousands of spectators and over a hundred entries from businesses, groups and non-profits in and around the Seal Beach community.
“Fun for the entire family and a boon to many of our Main Street merchants, the Christmas Parade is truly Old Town Seal Beach charm,” Newton said.
