• The Multicultural Committee will be observing Hispanic Heritage month on Tuesday, October 2, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Bachelor Quarters.

These observances are conducted to enhance cross-cultural awareness and promote harmony among all military members, their families, and the civilian work force. There will be short educational presentations.

The committee is  also looking for people to bring food for the potluck.

• The First Class Petty Officer Association’s Chili Competition will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3. They will be competing to see who makes the best chili. Come out to help judge. For $5 you get a drink and a bowl to try each chili.
