Miss Seal Beach to compete for Miss California 2015 title

Miss Seal Beach 2014 Alexis Bach has been selected to represent the seaside town in the 2015 Miss California USA® pageant, which will to be held Jan. 9-11, 2015 in Long Beach.

This will mark the first time that Miss Seal Beach has been in the state competition.

The winner of Miss California will go on to compete at the national Miss USA® competition. The pageant will put on three shows (two preliminary competitions and one finals competition) that will be ticketed events open to the public. Long Beach was the location of the first Miss USA and Miss Universe competitions, held concurrently in 1952.

Tickets for the pageant shows are available on Ticketmaster.com.  Supporters who cannot attend the show in person may watch live online at 4 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, at www.PageantVision.com. In related news, a fundraiser to send Bach to the Miss California Pageant will be held Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Hangout on Main Street. A percentage of The Hangout’s proceeds that night will be donated to the Miss Seal Beach Organization. Bach is a junior at Vanguard University of Southern California.

“I am the assistant manager at elison rd. on Main Street in Seal Beach. I aspire to focus my career ambitions in the field of special education as an occupational therapist,” Bach said. Crowned Miss Seal Beach 2014, Bach has participated in the Miss Seal Beach Pageant’s “No Bullies” campaign. The Miss Seal Beach Court participates in the annual Thanksgiving Dinner at St. Anne’s Church in Seal Beach.

“Prior to elderly guests sharing lunch in the Church Hall, we set up a mobile photography studio and offer our older generation a framed photograph of themselves,” Bach said.

She has been a greeter at the Seal Beach Police Department Awards luncheon, the SBPD Tip A Cop Fundraiser at Macaroni Grill, and at SBPD National Night Out.

“I am so looking forward to a new event they have planned for me—taking over as Seal Beach Police Chief for the day,” Bach said.
