Traveling broadens your horizons

Traveling around Asia and Europe is an overwhelming experience.

When we were in England, we always stayed with my nephew.

Their lovely cottage in London proper was convenient to public transportation. My husband booked our weekly tour both on the underground and the double-decker bus. Very amusing and exciting touring Westminister Abbey, Shakespeare’s Birthplace, Canterbury Cathedral, various museums, lovely scenic countryside drive, etc.

Most museums in England are free unlike Paris, Rome, Madrid and Lisbon. When we were at one of the museums in England, we asked the security guard “where is the elevator?” He asked where we are going? The second floor, we replied. Oh, you mean the lift? This gentleman took us to the lift.  We are both members at the New York Art Museum and fortunate to see most of the super -special exhibits from all over the world. London is very rich in arts and culture. Witnessing the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace early in the morning was a fantastic experience.

Traveling enriches and broadens our horizons in the field of arts, cultures, and bountiful lovely countrysides and meeting wonderful people around the world.

Seeking a better life

When Hillary Clinton was asked her thoughts about illegal immigration she answered, “They just came here for a better life.” If she thinks it is all right for Hispanics to come from Mexico and other countries from south of the border to come here to have a better life, then it must be OK with her for other people to come here illegally from all over the world “for a better life.” To not think so would be racist.
