Leisure World resident dies while driving on Seal Beach Boulevard

A fatal traffic collection occurred in Seal Beach Wednesday morning, Dec. 3. The victim lived in Leisure World. Authorities have not yet released the man’s name.

On Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 7:55 a.m., Seal Beach Police officers were dispatched to a reported traffic collision with injuries at St. Cloud Drive and Seal Beach Boulevard.

After arriving, police learned that an 89-year-old man, a resident of Leisure World, apparently suffered a medical emergency and lost control of his vehicle while driving northbound on Seal Beach Boulevard at St. Cloud Drive.

After losing control of his vehicle, he caused a minor traffic collision.

The investigation revealed that the Leisure World resident succumbed to the medical emergency prior to the collision and died.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department Coroner Division responded and will be handling the death investigation. No other injuries were reported from the actual collision.
